Raincoat Distribution

Walayar (15/07/2020): In view of this rainy season and as a token of appreciation for the hard work & sincerity put in by Police during these time, Malabar Cements gifted Raincoats to the Police personnel in Walayar Station. The coats were handed over to Sri. Shiju, Sub Inspector of Walayar Police Station by Sri Venugopal, Marketing Manager.

World Environment Day'2020

Walayar (05/06/2020):   World Environment Day was celebrated in MCL on 5thJune,2020 with the participation of employees in a fitting manner. MCL Managing Director inaugurated the celebration by planting the sapling on 05.06.2020 at factory premises. Environment Day posters and banners were displayed at prominent places inside the factory and MCL Township. Sapling plantations were done by several employees inside the factory & township premises.
The Managing Director highlighted the need for environmental protection & biodiversity. General Manager (Works) & DGM(P&A) provided felicitation on biodiversity and the threats needs to be attended for the improvements in biodiversity.

New Depot Office Started

Walayar (06/05/2020):  For catering factory-fresh cement in Kollam and Trivandrum districts, a New Sales Depot is opened at NH66, Pallikkal, Trivandrum District. Kondotty (Malappuram Dist) and Pattambi (Palakkad Dist) depots have been closed due to administrative reasons

Safety Week Celebration

Walayar (19/03/2020):  Malabar Cements Limited celebrated the 49th National Safety Day as Safety week from 4th to 10th March, 2020 with the participation of employees in a fitting manner. MCL Managing Director inaugurated the celebration by hoisting the National Safety Day Flag on 04.03.2020. Employees worn safety day badges and took pledge to follow safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and to protect the environment. Safety posters and banners were displayed at prominent places inside the factory. Numerous Training programmes & Safety competitions were conducted during the occasion.
Training on General Safety, Safety & Emergency Preparedness, Safety Management , BBS etc were given to company employees. Various safety competitions were conducted during the occasion. Refresher Training and Competitions on fire fighting first aid was conducted in association with Safety Council of Kerala. Written competitions on Safety Essay(English / Malayalam), Safety Slogan (English & Malayalam), Safety Short Story, Safety Poem, Safety Cartoon etc. were also conducted and several employees participated.

Safety Training

Walayar (05/03/2020):  Malabar Cements Ltd arranged a Safety Training for the managerial staff through NIST. Sri. Sooraj Orpheus was the lead trainer for the session

Walayar (08/02/2020):  Tripartite Committtee meeting was convened on 07th Feb'2020 at Palakkad. Dy.DGMS (Southern Zone) Bangalore , Managing Director Malabar Cements Ltd and officials of both Director General of Mines Safety and MCL were present for the meeting.

Republic Day Celebrations 2020

Walayar (26.01.2020): India is celebrating its 71st Republic Day on  Sunday  26th January 2020. This historic event is commemorated every year with much enthusiasm and joy. It is indeed a patriotic event and as part of Republic Day celebrations, National Flag hoisting ceremony is held in Malabar Cements with great fervour and zeal.

New Managing Director joined

Walayar (02/12/2019):  Sri. M. Mohamed Ali has been appointed as the Managing Director of Malabar Cements Limited. The new MD has taken over the charge on 02/12/2019. 

The new Managing Director, Sri. M Mohamed Ali is a graduate in Engineering and have Masters Degree in Business Administration with more than 30 years of experience. He is specialised in the field of projects and operations of cement plants and his experience extends working with cement industry in India and abroad.
